Dragon Quests are Adventure Quest programs that last a full day – either from 8:30 – 4:30 or from 9:00 – 5:00, depending upon the site. These programs are open to kids age 8 – 16, and have more riddles, more dueling, more intrigue, and often times, more customization. In Dragon groups, the Quest Leader gets a chance to connect with the children in ways that the half-day Griffon Quest Leaders cannot because of time constraints. Often during the heat of the afternoon, Dragon groups take a break from questing to play more relaxing games or to dip their feet in the creek. On Fridays, after the Risen Lands Bazaar, Dragon groups have the option to play the much-anticipated Ambush Games, which is a capture-the-flag kind of game over the scope of the entire park.
These half-day Adventure Quest programs last either from 8:30 – 1:30 or from 9:00 – 2:00, depending upon the site. These quests are open to kids age 6 – 16, and are focused almost exclusively on Adventure Quest. Because there isn’t enough time in the afternoon to do much questing, the kids really want to make the most of their mornings, and the Quest Leaders know to pack in a lot of adventure!
Pegasus Programs are Adventure Quests designed to specifically focus on the social, emotional, and developmental needs of girls. It an adventure with more social situations, fewer battles, more riddles and puzzles, and of course, more animal encounters. Join an all-girl group with all female staff.
CITs (Counselors-in-Training) apprentice with our skilled Quest Leaders to develop leadership skills. Learn the arts of storytelling and improvisational acting, as well as the skills of conflict-resolution, team-building and responsible empowerment! The CIT program costs 50% as much as the Adventure Quest program, as we hold the CITs to certain mentorship responsibilities.
Some CITs who show exemplary Quest Leading skills and responsibility with younger kids may be invited to become a Master CIT. Master CITs come for free and can earn points to spend on our merchandise.
The CIT program is open to teenagers who have attended at least two Adventure Quest programs in the past. CITs are required to attend CIT Training at the beginning of the summer, as well as commit to at least two weeks of CITing during the summer.
