Home Quest™: Renaissance Adventures can bring the excitement and daring to any part of the Front Range! Home Quest allows parents and teachers to customize the time, place, and dates of an Adventure Quest based upon their best availability – whether it be a full week of questing in Denver, a few afternoons in Fort Collins, or something else. In order to run a Home Quest, we require a minimum of four participating Questers, and we need to get the parents help in finding a good location – indoor and outdoor availability. Often times, if these requirements cannot be met by the originating parent, we can help find other parents in the area that also want to run an adventure close to them. The originating parent that acts as host (for rainy days, for instance) receives a 50% discount if there are at least five full-priced Questers. In general, we charge just as much as our Boulder Adventure Quest programs: $53 per day for Griffon hours or $84 per day for Dragon hours (though of course we can arrange something that does not fit into this time frame).
Torah Quest™: During Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Renaissance Adventures runs a 1.5 hour quest based upon themes from the Torah and the High Holy Days. In addition, we have trained volunteers to run their own Torah Quests, if we are unavailable to run them ourselves. These quests may also be adapted for events in Christian churches upon request. In the past, we have hosted:
For instance, classes that have been taught Arthurian legends can participate in our learning-based quest where the kids dress in period clothing, eat an authentic medieval feast, and embark upon a quest that is solved by those who remember their lessons. Other groups that study Native American history have enjoyed our storyteller’s Native American tale of Coyote and the creation of thunder and lightning. Time Journey is another unique home school program where the students are time travelers attempting to set the past right, and learn about history while doing so!
If you are interested in one of the above programs, or have an idea for one that we could host, please give a call for options: (303) 786-9216.
